With the upcoming General Election this is a prime time to consider what each of the parties is promising in their manifestos. Not always easy reading we at IFST are looking through the manifestos as they come out and pulling out the statements that each of the parties make, regarding three priority areas that IFST have identified as key areas for us and our members – Food Science Education, Sustainable Food Systems, and Brexit.

We are not endorsing any party, just reporting what they are promising, and remember that these are just that, promises! Don’t forget to quiz your local candidates as well. We will add more party manifesto statements as we work through them, although with the snap election this year, time is tight – both for the parties and for us!
