Jon Poole is responsible for the overall management of IFST affairs, providing continuity in policy and administration and external representation. He is Company Secretary with responsibility for the charity trust and is top-level point of contact for outside individuals, organisations and government bodies.
Andrew Gardner is responsible for the day-to-day management of the office, the Institute's finances, and supports the work of the Education and Careers and Professional Development committees.
In this new role, John will be focusing on developing the Institute’s outward facing activities - particularly aimed at growing the Institute’s increasing influence on matters of policy in relation to all the Institute’s areas of interest. John is also responsible for coordinating and directly inputting to IFST’s position on scientific and other areas of policy.
Erin Taylor oversees member co-ordination, engagement and development of the membership base, various member communities and volunteer support. Erin also coordinates and actively manages IFSTs Group membership schemes, CPD and Professional Registration schemes.
Izabela coordinates the Institute's communications and is responsible for commissioning, managing, editing, and disseminating content relating to the web-based version of IFST's respected magazine title – Food Science & Technology. Her role also includes responsibilities relating to content production for the main IFST website.
Marjo is concerned with the scientific and technical affairs of the Institute. She provides valuable scientific and technical input to many sections of the Institute and serves as a liaison with the wider scientific community. Marjo ensures that scientific and technical material meets the Institute's high standards and is responsible for generating new and updating existing material. She also plays a key role in the Institute's accreditation activities and is directly involved with membership assessment, continuing professional development, and other registration processes.
Delia is responsible for marketing and promotion of the Institute’s products and services including events and manages the day-to- day relationship with third party marketing providers where needed. She is also providing support in the following key areas: membership administration, financial administrations, administrative support to the Chief Executive, administration and coordination relating to key events.
