IFST's updated new information statement provides an overview of the requirements in the production of organic foods and provides some guiding principles on safety and quality.

independent impartial information on food issues. Our statements are publicly
available, prepared and peer reviewed by experts within the IFST membership and are
uninfluenced by sectional or 'political' motives.
