    Gives info just for members and where you can download useful information for free. Current freebie - Currently Guidelines for Laboratory Practice PFMG Guidelines on laboratory Practice. Could be useful if you study food microbiology.
  • Additional benefit for final year students - Free year subscription to Food Manufacture, a really useful food industry magazine aimed at those working in industry which has lots of readable articles on a range of subjects such as food ingredients, nutrition, new processes, product development. Some of this could be useful in assignments. The magazine also has news about people in the industry and job adverts which could be invaluable for job hunting.

There are other good reasons to join

It should please your lecturers showing them that you are a serious student! You need one of them to sign your application form. Will also look good on you CV and impress potential employers.
