IFST serves the academic sector through its links with national educational
authorities and educational organisations, representing the profession and providing comment on educational policy, issues, and research.
IFST also encourages new entrants to the profession at every level, in
particular school and university level. Our special careers website outlines

range of opportunities in following a career in food science and technology as
well
as listing the UK colleges and universities that offer courses. This careers
website also provides resources for school teachers and our Schools Affiliation Scheme delivers specific support for teachers of Food Technology or Food within the
context of the Science curriculum.
