Regions

IFST's UK Regional Branch structure provides additional opportunities for networking with other IFST members in your own region of the UK.

Branch Committees organise various activities including conferences and symposia, other scientific and technical meetings, factory visits, and other events such as parent-teacher meetings. For students, Branches arrange meetings with local student food science societies and sixth form lectures as well as offering student prizes. Branches also provide speakers on food science and technology topics to local community organisations.

Members are registered in the Branch that covers their correspondence address but can be assigned to a different Branch on request at no extra cost.

Non-members of IFST may attend IFST Branch events at standard rates whilst discounts are available to IFST members. All members of IFST receive notification of Branch events through our members' only newsletter, Keynote, or through our e-mail alert system, IFST Alert.
