As the leading professional qualifying body for food science and technology in Europe, IFST is responsible for maintaining advanced standards of qualifications and professional practice amongst food scientists and technologists.

Like all professionals it is essential for food scientists and technologists to keep their skills and knowledge constantly updated. We encourage our members to continue their professional education and development throughout their careers, eg through Continuing Professional Development.

IFST offers a number of education and training opportunities through its events and publications. IFST also operates accreditation schemes for particular specialisms and professional practice.
