Tenders are invited for the part-time position of Editor of Food Science & Technology
Honorarium – circa £15000
Food Science and Technology (www.fstjournal.org) is the quarterly information journal of the UK's Institute of Food Science and Technology (www.ifst.org), and is distributed to over 2100 food science professionals in the UK and overseas who are members of IFST, and to subscribers.
The readership base is exceptionally wide and includes food scientists and technologists working in industry, academia, education, government, consultancy and other areas both at home and abroad.
Papers are not peer-reviewed but are aimed at raising awareness of developments in food science and technology amongst fellow professionals.
The current Editor is stepping down in March 2014 after 10 years and IFST wishes to appoint a successor to take the journal forward, starting with the production of 4 special issues of FS&T as part of the Institute’s forthcoming Jubilee celebrations.

Interested candidates for this role can apply by providing a copy of their CV together with a submission of no more than 1000 words outlining their vision for the magazine by no later than 16 December 2013 to Jon Poole (address below). Shortlisted applicants will be invited to IFST offices to give a presentation (no more than 10 minutes) and answer questions.
