PRESENT YOURSELF AND PRESENT YOUR FOOD AND DRINK BUSINESS

Registration is closed for this event
Organised by IFST's Consultancy Group & Eastern Branch

This evening meeting is a chance to learn about the best practice in promoting your business via social media, as well as using some old fashioned face to face networking skills to learn about local resources for food and drink businesses and discovering key technical issues facing the sector at the moment. The session will consist of an engaging presentation on the use of social media for food and drink businesses, followed by networking, and then a line-up of short presentations by consultants and local businesses on relevant issues/topics affecting the sector.

The event is aimed at Eastern, Midlands and South East food and drink businesses, professionals and consultants.Sign up early if you would like to be assigned one of the presentation slots.

The event has three, complementary, aims.

  • To educate consultants and food businesses on social media. How to use social media to project your business – so yes, advertising, but there are a wide range of options now available: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc. On the other side, how do you protect yourself and your business – so for example, having social media policies in place for staff?
  • To provide an opportunity for the Consultancy group to explain what they do to local food businesses and other consultants using the oldest method of social media – face to face presentation.
  • To gain insight from experts on key technical issues facing food businesses

So, 11 years after beating the compliance drum, and a less than happy return to work as a new mum she decided to set up her own business.

In April 1999- the RedCat Partnership Ltd was born. It has gone from strength to strength. The Business offers pragmatic Risk Management Consultancy and Training; the team helps businesses with their Health and Safety &/or Food Safety needs. The team work with many local & national businesses.  As about 1/3 of the business is training they have now expanded into No.8 Thorpe Road; their own office & high spec training/ meeting rooms; which they rent out to help other Businesses!  Social Media was seen as an essential Marketing tool for both businesses.
