Not as free trade as you thought …

Organised by IFST's Food Law Group

With Brexit becoming imminent, more companies are showing an interest in the potential opportunities for free trade and expansion of markets outside of the EU. However, the legislative differences with these other markets must be considered before such trading can occur.

This meeting has been arranged to identify the practical legislative issues that must be taken into account when a company is considering expanding trade to non-EU markets, from product formulation through to packaging and labelling.

It is an opportunity to hear from the Department for International Trade, on the pros and cons of trading with countries based outside of the EU, and to receive pointers regarding the main aspects that companies should consider.  Two further experts in this field will then focus on key markets of interest, the USA and certain parts of the Asia region.

The event will end with a panel Q&A session and general discussion.

Full programme coming soon.
