This Christmas lecture will be led by Philip Mansbridge, the Executive Director of ProVeg UK.

Veganism is now much more mainstream and its adoption by a greater number of people globally has been fuelled by celebrities such as Lewis Hamilton, Beyoncé, Jay-Z and high profile personalities like Bill Clinton, who have undertaken the vegan route. This presentation will focus on the benefits and problems to a vegan diet, it will look at animal welfare standards, and present alternatives to meat and dairy based meals that can be adopted in to any diet.

Who should attend? Event aimed at food science and technology students (undergraduate and postgraduates), nutrition and dietetic students (undergraduate and postgraduates), food businesses, local government (environmental health and trading standards), and staff from the Zero2Five Food Industry Centre.

Cost: This is a free event.
