We are looking for a Digital Intern for a short-term assignment of up to 12 weeks starting mid-February 2022 and working for three to five days each week on average, to support the delivery of our events and annual online scientific conference and to support our work with our members to promote food science and technology for the benefit, safety and health of everyone.
We are looking for someone who is creative and a natural communicator. Your work will mainly focus on producing social media graphics and posts and editing content on the IFST webpages. In addition, you will work with our ‘IFST Community’ platform and ensure that content is suitably curated and presented.
You will be experienced in the use of software such as InDesign and Canva, confident in producing posts for various social media platforms including Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook as well as have knowledge of social media schedulers including Buffer. You will be a digital marketing native and be able to produce meaningful reports from our data. We are working on improving our website SEO so experience in working in this area and using content management systems including Drupal is also welcome. A knowledge and passion for science is helpful as well as digital and writing skills. We are a small team, so we all muck in to keep things running smoothly.
If you are interested in developing your digital marketing skills, work with us to help put our social media and digital campaigns to develop our engagement with our existing and new food science community.
