What is 'Refer a friend'?
As we look ahead to an exciting new chapter, we’re inviting our community to help us grow the IFST membership and strengthen the voice of the food profession - there’s no better way to do that than through personal recommendations from our members.
IFST has now secured the Royal Charter; a significant milestone that will enhance the standing of the profession and elevate the recognition of every member. As we move through this transition, expanding our community is essential to ensuring a strong, representative, and influential professional body.
We are giving you the opportunity to refer up to two people to join IFST as Associate members or above. Each new member you refer will receive two months free membership, meaning they will get 14 months for the price of 12!
As a thank you, for every successful referral (up to two), you’ll receive two months free membership, meaning you could get up to 16 months membership for the price of 12.
This referral offer makes now an ideal moment to join IFST. - Offer applies to existing members (Associate, Member, Fellow)
- The offer is open for a period at the discretion of IFST - currently up until 31 December 2025.
- To qualify, new members should contact us with details (name and member number) of the member who referred them by emailing membership@ifst.org.
- The promotion will entitle a new applicant to two free months of membership for an application submitted before the end of December 2025.
- 'New member' refers to an individual who has not been a paid up member of IFST for two calendar years at the time of taking up the offer.
- After a new member(s) has submitted their application, paid their fee, and emailed IFST with the referring member's name and member number, the referring member will receive up to four months of free membership (two months per referral).
- Offer may not be used in conjunction with any other offers or membership discounts or concessions (including group scheme membership, student membership, postgraduate membership).
