A technical and general interest visit.

Meet IFST Eastern branch and learn about the making of jams and other sweet spreads at the Hain Celestial site at Histon near to Cambridge. This site has a history stretching back to the thriving early traditional old English orchards of Cambridge and of Jam manufacturing using then, local fruit and sugar supplies. Still a sustainably sweet success story in 2025.

Join us as an audience member for the South of England and Wales final to hear about active research in food science and technology. We will also have a keynote speech from industry at the event.

Food Physics 2026

This event is organised by the Institute of Physics

Physics plays a crucial role in the design of delicious, healthy, and nutritious food and beverages. This annual conference, which will celebrate its 10th Anniversary in 2026, brings together academics and industry professionals to share the latest developments and explore opportunities for physicists to tackle multidisciplinary challenges. Breaking the Barriers to Automation Adoption in the Food System

This event is organised by the Midlands Branch

The talk will explore the diverse challenges within the food system and examine how technology can help overcome them. While automation and robotics will be central to the discussion, digitalisation, as a key enabler, will also be considered.
