Mark Price to deliver IFST’s Jubilee lecture

Mark Price, Managing Director of Waitrose and Deputy Chairman of the John Lewis Partnership, will deliver the Institute of Food Science and Technology’s (IFST) Jubilee Lecture on 11 November at the Royal Society in London.

Since its inception in 1986, the IFST Lecture has provided the perfect opportunity for a specially invited audience to hear perspectives from a highly distinguished speaker on a strategic or challenging topic impacting the food sector. This, combined with an opportunity to network with other high profile guests, makes our lecture an important date in the food science calendar.

This year’s event will be even more noteworthy, as it falls within our 50th Jubilee year. To celebrate, we’re also broadcasting our lecture to six other regional events throughout the country for the first time.

Mark Price will deliver the lecture ‘Constant values in a changing world’, in which he will explain how Waitrose’s focus on its ethics and values ensures the retailer’s continued success, even as the grocery market undergoes unprecedented change.

Mr Price said: “We feel very strongly at Waitrose that our success comes from putting the needs of those who work with us, our Partners, and their values first. This is vital to ensuring our continued success as well as a sustainable future for our Partners, our customers and our suppliers.”
