Our Student Career Virtual Events provide valuable insights into exciting career options in the food sector. This year, we are bringing you plenty of valuable experiences and events which we hope will help launch your career.

By attending these sessions you’ll be able to:

This event is free to attend and open to undergraduate and postgraduate students at UK universities. All attendees will receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the week.

Student Career Launchpad 2021

Raynor Foods Virtual Factory Tour 
Attend a live virtual tour of Raynor Foods Sandwich Factory and ask questions to a factory representative. 
The tour will cover the process of making sandwiches commercially focusing on hygiene and food safety. The company will discuss research projects and innovations they have been working on as well all the challenges the sector has faced in recent years including labour shortages and Brexit.

Student Career Launchpad Panels – explore careers in the food sector
Our panellists, who bring a diverse range of professional backgrounds and experience, will answer your questions in an exciting exchange exploring careers paths in the food sector. All student attendees will have an opportunity to interact with food sector professionals. All panellists, like the students, have studied a food-related degree and now have diverse job roles in the food sector ranging from retail to regulation, nutrition to technical. 

How to get a job in the food sector
Students will learn how to write a CV, prepare for an interview and receive job hunting tips. All to help them boost their employability skills.
