The Institute of Food Science & Technology (IFST) is pleased to announce that SALSA certification is now available in Ireland. This marks a significant development for the food and drink sector across the country.
This is the first time that the SALSA (Safe and Local Supplier Approval) scheme has been accessible to Irish producers. It provides small and micro food businesses with the opportunity to demonstrate strong food safety standards and gain access to new markets.
SALSA certification was developed by and for the industry. It is widely recognised by retailers and food service providers throughout the UK. Its expansion into Ireland reflects a growing demand for practical and trusted food safety assurance that supports business growth without unnecessary complexity.
