IFST's prizes and awards programme is designed to recognise and celebrate the outstanding work/achievement of a group or individual throughout the food science community.
We do many great things as an Institute but many of them wouldn't be possible without our volunteers. The Impact Award was introduced in 2017 to showcase activities/innovations organised by our Regional Branches and Subject Interest Groups and highlight where they had made an impact in IFST’s strategic priorities.

This highly prestigious award is made to recognise a Member or Fellow who has made extensive personal contributions to the working and progress of the Institute and to the food science and technology profession.
We are looking to build a network of Ambassadors to help IFST in our mission to promote and ‘inspire excellence and trust in food’ by 'sharing knowledge, being independent, promoting professional development and encouraging new entrants to the sector as an exciting, worthwhile and aspirational career path'.
