Showcase Your Research at the IFST Oxford Food Summit
Are you passionate about food science and technology? Do you have research that you’re eager to share with the world? Here’s your chance to shine!
The Institute of Food Science and Technology (IFST) is delighted to announce our 2026 Poster Showcase, where selected entrants will showcase their posters at the IFST Oxford Food Summit 2026. We invite all students, researchers, and professionals in the field to submit their research posters for a chance to be showcased at our event.

Each submitted entry should include the following:
- An academic research poster, containing academic references.
- An abstract
- A separate bibliography
It is recommended to format the poster on one slide in PowerPoint. Please edit the slide’s size in the Design tab, clicking on Slide Size, then Custom Slide Size: it is recommended to select A3, ensuring that width and height measurements are 26.67cm and 35.56cm. Your poster can be landscape or portrait orientation. Please ensure that any images or figures included on your poster are cited if they are taken from other sources, and have brief explanatory captions. Once you have finished your poster in PowerPoint, export/save the file as a PDF before submitting. The bibliography should also be submitted as a PDF.
You must submit your entry before 5pm BST on 31 March 2026.
Please note, applicants whose posters are selected for presentation at the IFST Oxford Food Summit on 9 July 2026 will be required to register for a summit ticket - the student rate can be offered for those selected. IFST is not able to cover travel costs to and from Oxford for the presentation. A committee will select posters to be presented at the summit; there will be no overall winner. What do I need to send for my submission?
A PDF copy of your poster, abstract, and bibliography submitted in advance
What will I be delivering in the presentation on the day?
A physical poster display. Posters should be between A2 and A0 in size.
Each presenter should also prepare a PowerPoint presentation.
You will have 3–5 minutes to present, followed by 5 minutes for Q&A.
Will I receive a discounted rate if I am selected?
If you are a student, you will pay the already discounted student member rate
If you are not a student, you will still pay the student member rate
Do IFST cover expenses?
No, unfortunately IFST cannot cover any expenses
Can I get financial support an overseas submission?
No unfortunately IFST cannot financially support overseas submissions. Anyone submitting from overseas will be responsible for all costs and visas.
