IFST degree accreditation recognises BSc and MSc programmes that meet agreed professional standards for food-related education. The scheme supports universities, HE colleges and the needs of the food sector.
Food-related degrees are multidisciplinary and draw on subjects such as chemistry, biology, microbiology, nutrition, business and engineering. This knowledge supports understanding of food systems from production through to the consumer.
The scheme is open to UK and international courses taught in English.
