This visit is organised by the IFST South East Branch and is open to IFST members only.
Atkins and Potts is a BRC-certified site in Newbury, Berkshire, producing condiments, sauces and dressings. This site visit will focus on their experience and learnings from moving to a new bespoke site whilst maintaining both certification and production commitments.
What will participants learn:
Participants will learn about the process, planning and contingencies needed if considering a site move. How to best design a site, engaging the whole team in the process. Also, a general overview of manufacturing processes in this category (hot-fill and cold condiments, dressings and sauces) for those unfamiliar with it. Visitors will see the factory and general facilities but will not enter the kitchens - these will be talked through using photos and videos.
Target audience:
IFST members in technical teams within manufacturing sites that are either BRC certified or seeking certification.
The site has plenty of free parking.
