The talk will explore the diverse challenges within the food system and examine how technology can help overcome them. While automation and robotics will be central to the discussion—aligning with the event's theme—digitalisation will also be considered as a key enabler. A range of technologies will be presented, to be applicable to companies at different stages of their technology adoption journey. Funding mechanisms will also be addressed.
Dr Bhavnita Patel is the Business Development Manager for Healthy Living at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC). Bhavnita has a Masters in Chemistry from York University and a PhD in Materials Chemistry from Cambridge University, followed by 10 years of industrial experience in Food Manufacturing R&D, at PepsiCo and Mondelez. At her time at the MTC, Bhavnita has supported many businesses on the adoption of technology.
PLEASE NOTE: if you would like to take advantage of the opportunity to tour MTC’s amazing facility you need to bring with you a valid passport…it is definitely worth it
