The talk will explore the diverse challenges within the food system and examine how technology can help overcome them. While automation and robotics will be central to the discussion, digitalisation, as a key enabler, will also be considered. A range of technologies will be presented, to be applicable to companies at different stages of their technology adoption journey. Funding mechanisms will also be addressed.

Speaker: Dr Bhavnita Patel - Sector Development Manager, MTC Dr Bhavnita Patel is the Business Development Manager for Healthy Living at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC). Bhav has a Masters in Chemistry from York University and a PhD in Materials Chemistry from Cambridge University, followed by 10 years of industrial experience in Food Manufacturing R&D, at PepsiCo and Mondelez. At her time at the MTC, Bhav has supported many businesses on the adoption of technology. |
