This event is a short 30-minute session as part of a series called ‘Day in the Life’ run by the IFST Student and Early Careers Committee.
This session will focus on the role of Millie Yates as a Graduate Food Technologist in the retail environment at Marks and Spencer. It will detail her day-to-day roles, what she enjoys about her job, and how she came to choose her career in food.
The session will end with time for participants to ask questions and partake in discussions around early careers.

Millie Yates - Graduate Food Technologist, M&S Millie is a Graduate Food Technologist at Marks & Spencer. She is currently working in the deli team, ensuring the safety and quality of olives and charcuterie products. She really enjoyed her Food Science degree at the University of Leeds, learning about the different industrial processes and product attributes that make food safe and delicious. During her degree, she did an industrial placement year at Marks & Spencer, working in the Chocolate Technical Team. She feels lucky to work in the Food Industry as it is always exciting and challenging, and she would recommend it to anyone! |
