About the conference
IFST’s Spring Conference (SC23) is entitled ‘ Taming the Perfect Storm - The Power of Food Science and Technology ’ and will take place at Cardiff Metropolitan University School of Management on April 27 2023 with a pre conference dinner and networking event the evening before.
We will examine three challenges:
- Food Security (supply chain robustness, food affordability)
- Health and Nutrition (obesity, allergens, nutritional density)
- The Environment (sustainability, biodiversity, net zero)
None of these themes act in isolation and it is the combination of each of these that bring the greatest challenges, and which are the focus for our highly relevant and practical conference this year.
