Anne Taylor

Anne Taylor was nominated as Volunteer of the Week for helping to organise the Chemistry of Cooking lecture at Harper Adams and her continued involvement in Ecotrophelia.

Marie Kettlewell

Marie Kettlewell was recognised as Volunteer of the Week for her help with organising the University of Reading's student placement evening, where students who have recently returned from their year in industry present about their experiences. Videos of the evening will be available shortly.

David Baines

David is Volunteer of the Week for doing IFST's Chemistry of Cooking roadshow across the UK. He is also Chair of the Western branch and has helped to organise the IFST lecture regional event in Bristol.

Sarah Gough

Sarah Gough is a member of the Sensory Science Group Committee and their events team. Sarah has been nominated as Volunteer of the week in particular for the organisation of the recent Sensory Conference and other sensory organised events throughout the year.

David McCleery

David McCleery is the Chair of the Northern Ireland branch. He was nominated for Volunteer of the Week for his help in planning the Jubilee lecture broadcast event in Northern Ireland.

Stephanie Mitchell

Stephanie Mitchell was nominated for Volunteer of the Week for helping out with Registered Scientist revalidation. She is actively involved in the Membership Assessment Panel and has been helping out a great deal with the different types of assessment across IFST membership.

Judith Wayte

Judith is volunteer of the week for setting up blogs for two students to write about their work experience placements. Judith is an active volunteer, especially with helping to promote IFST to students.

Kelvin Thomson

Kelvin is the Volunteer of the Week for helping to generate discussion on our LinkedIn groups, retweeing, being a preliminary judge for Ecotrophelia and organising an event in Glasgow to broadcast the IFST lecture on 11 November.

How does it feel to be recognised as Volunteer of the Week?

It's always nice to get some recognition for the things you do and I think that during the IFST's Jubilee year it's a great way of encouraging members to play a role in its success!
